Ofie Mat – favourite kids mat

Hi guys!
Thanks for coming back and taking some time out of your day.  We recently got Heston a second Ofie mat and it got me thinking how great a product it’s been and that I should share with a blog post.  When we first started looking for one, Heston was crawling and transitioning to solid foods. He needed a bigger area where he could play, eat and be messy.  We did a bunch of research and found that almost all of the mats were bold, bright coloured and kid friendly patterns… which as architects, we were picky about the aesthetics and wanted instead a mat that would go in the living room of our house and not be a big, bright eyesore hehe.
The look of the mat was probably the most important factor for us but we also really wanted a mat that was high quality and look like a floor rug rather than foam floor tiles that fit together.  We tried those and they were a disaster!

We came across Little Bot and were super impressed with their aesthetic.  All of their play mats looked like floor rugs with minimal designs and neutral colours.  They were far and away the nicest looking mats we came across, and they’re Canadian!  And the best part was each mat has two finished sides so you can flip and have a completely different mat (we own the  Zen Line + Triangle and the new addition you see here is the Country Road + Triangle).  Like I mentioned, we loved our Ofie mat so much we got a second one recently.  We chose the country road design this time and now he is always playing with his car and trucks on the mat. Just loves it!

The mat itself is really high quality.  It lays flat, is thick and soft and creates no static so it doesn’t pick up hair and dirt like the foam tiles do.  Super easy to clean and manage.  We found baby wipes basically get anything off this mat and it looks brand new again.  Heston has learned to crawl, walk, run, dance and yoga on his Ofie mats.  Had to share this one with you all 🙂
