Breathable Mesh Crib Liner

https://breathablebaby.com

Unlike padded crib bumpers, these liners keep your little one’s limbs safely inside the crib without the risk of restricted airflow and give your baby a secure place to spend his or her time. The mesh crib liners are designed with breathability in mind, so you don’t have to reduce airflow to create a safer crib. And are made of lightweight, breathe-through mesh and has been endorsed by doctors.

My take: Heston enjoys spending time in his crib playing, sleeping and doing tummy time. We feel much easier knowing his limbs cannot get caught in the crib slats and also that he can’t smother his face should he roll up against it. Easy to install and totally worth it just for the peace of mind!

Bibs (Drooling and/or Teething)

My take: Heston is constantly drooling or spitting up so we go through a ton of bibs! Nothing fancy required but we did find that we prefer the button closure over the velcro ones and we also found the waterproof bibs that come with a waterproof lining on the inside to be the best as his clothes don’t get soaked through the bib. Now that Heston is close to teething we will try the bibs that come with a silicone teether attachment to see if he likes them.

Lamaze Soft Rattles

Featuring lots of high-contrast patterns to help with the development of your child’s vision, while a series of different textures stimulate touch. Lamaze toys are designed to take babies through key developmental stages, engaging vision, auditory and motor skills from cot to toddler and beyond. As they play and grow, they’ll discover new sounds, colours and textures before exploring all sorts of role play fun – at home and on the go.

My take: Love the soft rattles! Heston is at a stage where he grabs objects but unaware of materials. With soft rattles over hard ones, I am not worried if he drops it or hits himself. He is really enjoying the squeaks and crinkles with different interesting textures to touch and chew.

Tikiri Blue Dragon Rubber Teether

Tikiri Fairytales Blue Dragon with fabric crinkle wings. Born in Sri Lanka, this brand is all about ethically sustainable production, eco-friendly materials and beautiful design. Made of 100% natural rubber, painted with soy-based inks and ready to travel into the mouth, the tub and beyond. A magical teething toy for babies!

My take: He loves this teether! It has a super soft body and crunchy wings that are easy to grab. The colour helps him find it amongst the other toys. It’s very light to hold as well.

Ergobaby Baby Carrier

https://ergobaby.ca/baby-carrier/black-camel

This baby body carrier is one of the most ergonomic baby carriers as it lets you choose between three comfortable, ergonomic babywearing positions: front, hip, and back carry. You can even use it the first week of your baby’s life with the Infant Inserts to keep your baby fully supported and safe. A soft structured carrier should make carrying your baby easy, and that’s exactly what our Original Carrier does. It makes being a parent a little more convenient and comfortable. This baby carrier comes with flexible, cushy shoulder straps, a comfortable waist belt with lumbar support and flexibility, allowing the carrier to grow with your baby and you to quickly find that perfect mutual fit. And bonus, it has an attached baby privacy hood and a roomy zipper pocket to hold all the essentials, yours and baby’s, giving your hands even more freedom so you can get more done.

My take: This product has been an absolute life saver! It actually started a little earlier than 4 months (the minute H was 12 pounds +). Heston is very comfortable in it and often falls asleep while I walk around carrying him effortlessly. It lets me travel throughout the house freely all while saving my shoulders, back and hips from more abuse (I tend to stay home more with the cold winter ahead). There are different types of carriers for different needs but a baby carrier is a MUST have!
